POSITION SUMMARY:

The position will primarily be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of FP&A best practices for modeling, planning, reporting, and data management and integration. The position will also be responsible the preparation of the forecast(s)/budget(s), internal reports for management, and related projects. The position will entail understanding and interpreting financial and KPI data and demonstrate their relevance to overall business performance and needs. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive FPA analysis experience required.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Robust experience producing budgets, forecasting, KPIs and financial statements
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, including experience with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to work cross functionally with multiple teams and communicate effectively
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience creating complex models in Excel
  • Advanced MS Power BI experience including but not limited to data governance and data visualization
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Outlook skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight timelines
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
  • Some overseas travel may be required

Preferred

  • Recent experience in the transportation industry
  • Advanced proficiency level of (i.e., fluent in) Spanish both oral and written.
  • Experience with BI tools other than MS Power BI
  • Advanced degree or other professional certification (CFA/CMA/CPA)

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary:

  • Responsible for creating and managing the P&L forecasting and budgeting processes including creating quarterly/annual forecast and budget, communication with Executives and individual departments to gather, prepare and consolidate information for the process, generating high level summaries and explaining key variances.
  • Understand the details/drivers behind key P&L line items (revenue, gross margin, cost of sales, etc.) and make adjustments to reflect updated information in quarterly/annual forecast/budget.
  • Lead the quarterly forecasting process for the balance sheet and cash flow statement. Work closely with individual departments to solicit inputs and analyze results. Identify business drivers for variances, including changes in trends, CAPEX, and/or company plans.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports including segmented income statements, cash flows, statement of change in equity, P&L analysis or trends, and balance sheet trend/historical data. Provide ongoing analytical support to management.
  • Developing financial models, preparing projections, internal ad hoc reports, and performing research and analysis as may be required by management.

Secondary:

  • Responsible for a wide range of financial activities including gathering data, organizing information, analyzing historical results.
  • Assist with special projects.

  • Receives direct supervision from the Senior Manager – Financial Reporting.  Does not exercise supervision over any employees.

  • Indoor office.  Exposed to controlled temperature and office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
