POSITION SUMMARY:                

Position entails entering information into the company’s data base/computer system to facilitate the documentation and information retrieval process for all warehouse transactions performed by the company. Also handles small packages, as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Basic computer skills.   
  • Ability to communicate (read and write) in English at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to deal effectively with public and people in general. Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and be detail- oriented
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and/or weekends as needed.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary

  • Performs data entry of documents as per supervisor’s instructions. 
  • Assists in maintaining and organizing the department’s filing system.
  • Handles and moves small packages within the warehouse.
  • Places smalls packages on the conveyor belts.
  • Assists the department in a variety of administrative functions as well as on special projects.

Secondary

  • Performs additional duties and handles additional projects as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The employee is continuously required to sit, grasp and exercise eye-hand coordination and eye-hand-foot coordination. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use his/her fingers to type, sort documents, and handle small packages.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, reach forward, exercise repetitive foot and wrist motion and finger dexterity.
  • The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is continuously required to stand for prolonged periods and walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb, bend forward, squat, reach overhead and pinch.
  • The employee must frequently carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

Reports directly to the Division Manager.  Does not exercise supervision over any position.

 

CONDITIONS:

  • Exposure to all possible environmental factors such as extreme heat, rain, wind and high humidity during day and night shifts. Roofed area with open doors.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is continuously exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
